Real Estate Commission

Mission statement

The commission's mission is to uphold, protect, and promote the interests of licensees, entities, and consumers by fairly developing and overseeing licensing laws and regulations.

About the commission

Real Estate Commission members serve 6-year terms. The commission has 7 members:

• 2 members from Eastern Washington
• 2 members from Western Washington
• 2 members at large
• 1 ex-officio chair appointed by the Director of the Department of Licensing

Each year the commission elects a vice chair to conduct meetings when the director is absent. The vice chair also advises the Department of Licensing.

All meetings are held virtually through Microsoft Teams. Board members attend online only, not in-person. You may attend virtually or in-person. For those who want to attend in-person, we provide a meeting room to view a livestream of the meeting. You can participate in the meeting through either attendance option.
