Mission statement

The board's mission is to uphold, protect, and promote the interests of professionals, businesses, and consumers by fairly developing and overseeing licensing laws and regulations.

About the board

Home Inspector Board members serve 3-year terms. A member can't serve more than 2 terms in a row. The board has 7 members:

• At least 6 members must be active home inspectors
• At least 1 member must currently teach in a home inspector education program
• The board must generally represent Washington licensees by region
• Members must have at least 5 years of home inspection experience in Washington
• Members must have completed at least 500 home inspections in Washington

All meetings are held virtually through Microsoft Teams. Board members attend online only, not in-person. You may attend virtually or in-person. For those who want to attend in-person, we provide a meeting room to view a livestream of the meeting. You can participate in the meeting through either attendance option.
