Upcoming fee increase

July 2, 2026

The Department of Licensing (DOL) is required to regularly review revenues and expenditure for services offered and establish fees at levels sufficient to cover the costs of providing and administering those services. This annual review has been completed, and it has been determined that fee adjustments are necessary to maintain the long-term financial stability of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) service. Fee increases will take effect on January 1, 2027.

Service fees support a variety of department functions, including processing requests, maintaining records, providing customer service, supporting information technology systems, and carrying out other necessary administrative responsibilities.

DOL will begin the formal rulemaking process related to fee adjustments on July 1, 2026. Information about the revised fee schedule will be provided before January 1, 2027.

Home inspector listening sessions

The Department of Licensing (DOL) would like to invite you to participate in virtual listening sessions to provide feedback on proposed home inspector rule changes.

The Home Inspector Advisory Licensing Board has proposed rule changes for WAC 308-408C Standards of Practice. The Department of Licensing (DOL) will be holding listening sessions to assist in completing a Small Business Economic Impact Statement before moving forward with the proposed changes.

These sessions will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. We have included the meeting date, time, and link information. We hope to see you there!
