Renew your license by mail
Mail a completed Real Estate Firm/Branch License Renewal form and a check or money order (payable to the Department of Licensing) for the renewal fee to:

Update your license
Update your contact information, designated broker, or branch manager
Log into SecureAccess Washington (SAW) or create an account to update your license online.
Things you can update:
- Name and contact information
- Designated broker
- Branch manager
If you updated your primary address and want a license showing the new address, you can print your own license.
Update your firm name
Follow the steps below to change your firm name. Firm name changes must be done by mail.
1. Check name availability
Before submitting your name change application, check if the name you want is available.
Get your firm name approved by emailing Real Estate Regulatory a brief cover letter with your name, contact information, desired firm name, and any doing business as (DBA) names. You'll receive a reply within 5-7 business days.
If we approve it, call the Secretary of State at 360-725-0377.
2. Submit your application
Mail a completed Real Estate Change of Firm Name or Add/Change DBA Name form and any required documents to:
