†You may qualify for a reduced fee ID card when you are in person at a Driver Licensing Office. If you are eligible for a reduced fee ID card, your cost for a standard ID card is $5, (RCW 46.20.117). In order for DOL to issue at the reduced cost, you must:
- Have a ‘Request for “Identicard” form issued to you by Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). Present this form in person at a Driver Licensing Office, or
- Be under age 25 and do not have a permanent home address, or
- Have been recently released from a Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration (JRA) facility.
If you choose to enhance your reduced fee ID card, the enhanced fees still apply. There is an extra $7 per year until it expires.
