Renew your license
- You must renew your license every year by January 31.
- You may renew up to 120 days before your license expires
Renewal requirements
You'll pay the license renewal fee when you submit your renewal application.
Make sure you have completed the required continuing education. Keep records of your professional development in case we ask you for them during an audit. Learn more about continuing education and audits.
Update your contact information, if necessary, before you renew your license.

- Your license number
- Documents for legal background questions (if needed)
- Payment for the license renewal fee
- A completed Funeral Director License Renewal Application form (if you're renewing by mail)

To renew your license by mail, follow the instructions on your renewal notice.
