Title VI Program Rights Public Notice

Our nondiscrimination policy complies with the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination federal laws and regulations. Title VI and related federal laws require government agencies that receive federal financial assistance to post a notice of Title VI program rights. Our policy assures that no person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

Our commitment

In addition to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, we comply with and follow non-discrimination laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Washington State Law Against Discrimination. It is our policy to assure that our employees and contractors do not discriminate against, deny, or exclude any person from any program, activity, or facility based on race, color, national origin, assigned sex, gender identity, age, disability, income, language, sexual orientation, creed, citizenship or immigration status, military or veteran status, marital status, or the use of a trained service animal by a person with a disability.

Nondiscrimination doesn't apply when following the law

We must comply with state and federal laws regarding the administration of licenses and exams. It is not considered discrimination when following legal requirements such as:

Discrimination complaints

We take allegations of discrimination seriously. If you believe the Department of Licensing or our contractors has discriminated against you in providing you access to our services or facilities, we want to hear from you.

Please use the Discrimination Complaint form (available in English, Spanish, Russian, and more) to tell us about your experience. You must email or mail your complaint to us within 180 days of the reported incident.
