Before you get started
You must meet Washington state training requirements if you're:
- Getting a CDL
- Upgrading a CDL or adding endorsements
Only a registered Washington Training Provider can certify a driver has met the training requirements.
For information on training requirements and getting trained, contact:
- A registered CDL training school
- Your employer if they're a registered training provider
We implemented new Federal and State training requirements, per:
- WAC 308-100-033 for School Training Providers
- WAC 308-100-035 for Employer Training Providers
