Before you get started
All boat decals (registrations) expire on June 30th of each year. You can renew up to 6 months early. Learn more about boat renewal requirements.
Make sure your name and address are up to date
If you need to update the address on your boat, you can do so online, in person, or by mail. To update the name for your boat, you must visit an office. For more information, see:

In addition to renewing online by logging into or joining License eXpress, you can:
Renew at a vehicle/boat licensing office
Calculate your boat registration fees. You can pay with cash, check, or money order. Most offices accept major debit and credit cards. Contact a vehicle and boat licensing office if you are unsure what payment methods they accept.
Be sure to bring:
- The boat registration or registration number (WN#).
- Proof that you're the registered owner or proof that you are eligible to renew the decal.

Renew by mail
