This guide provides steps for DIAS business customers to remove a Pretrial Ignition Interlock Device (IID) for a driver and report it to the Department of Licensing (DOL).
You may need the following information to remove a pretrial IID:
To remove a pretrial IID and report it to DOL, you will need to first locate the driver with a driver license number or their name. Once you locate their information, then you can continue reporting the IID removal information.
1. After you log into your account, you will choose the “Driver Info. & Adjudication” hyperlink to access your options.
2. To remove a pretrial IID for a driver, you will choose the “Submit court forms” hyperlink from the I Want To panel.
3. From the Pretrial IID panel, choose the “Remove Pretrial IID” hyperlink.
4. You can enter the “License Number (DLN)” or choose the “No License Number” checkbox. The License Jurisdiction defaults to Washington. Choose the “Next” button. Skip to step 6 if you were able to locate a driver with a DLN.
5. If you did not have the driver license number and chose the “No License Number” checkbox, then you will need to provide the Last name, First name, Middle name, and Date of birth to find a driver. Choose the “Next” button.
Note: If you choose the “No first name” or “No middle name” checkboxes, then you must still provide a last name and date of birth.
6. Locate the “Driver Pretrial IIDs” panel and choose the “Indicator” hyperlink.
7. In the Remove Pretrial IID panel, choose the “Remove Pretrial IID” button.
8. Review the Confirm Submission screen and choose the “Submit” button.
9. You can choose the “Print” button from the Confirmation screen or the “Continue” button to return to main screen.
