Renew your license by mail

If you're renewing a company license, complete a Private Security Guard Company License Renewal Application. You'll need to renew both the company license and the associated principal/qualifying agent license.

If you're renewing a private security guard license or certified trainer endorsement, complete a Security Guard Renewal Application. Temporary registration cards cannot be used for guards with expired licenses.

Mail your renewal application form, any supporting documents, and a check or money order (payable to the Department of Licensing) for the renewal fee to:
